Why GenStream Pro doesn't use credits
Most AI image and video tools price by credits: a currency you buy, that different models and settings spend at different rates. It's a familiar pattern across the category — and it makes a plan genuinely hard to reason about before you've used it.
How a typical credit system works
You buy a monthly pool of credits. Every generation spends some of them — but not the same amount. A standard image might cost one thing; a higher-resolution one costs more. A short video clip costs more than an image; a longer or higher-quality one costs more still. Some tools charge different rates per underlying AI model entirely. To know what a plan actually gets you, you have to learn a whole pricing table first — and then keep doing that arithmetic every time you generate something.
A worked example
Say you want to post 10 short AI videos this month. In a typical credit system, before you can answer "can my plan cover that?" you'd need to know: which model you're using, what resolution, how many credits that model costs per second of video, whether your plan's credit pool covers 10 of those specifically — and redo the math if you switch models halfway through.

The one place we don't hide complexity
We're not pretending every feature costs the same to run — that wouldn't be honest either. A 30-second Faceless Video genuinely costs more to generate than a 5-second clip, so it counts for more against your monthly video total. The difference is that this is disclosed as simple, fixed math (a 15-second video always costs the same as three 5-second ones) — not a hidden per-model credit rate you have to discover by using the product.
